Film Reviews

I started reviewing films a few months ago but I haven’t been able to keep up with all the films I’ve seen and I now have a bit of a backlog. I’m going to try to review new releases as I see them and go back through my DVD collection and review some old classics, some personal favourites, and those really embarrassing films I bought from HMV or Play.Com because they were on offer.

I hope you enjoy.

Trailers

I love movie trailers! I’m one of those people who gets nice and comfy in my seat at the cinema and gets excited for the trailers about as much as I do for the film I’m there to see. A good movie trailer gives you a glimpse of the film. It gives you the basics of the plot. It highlights the stars. It showcases some of the key scenes. But most of all, it builds emotion and gets you excited for the upcoming film. Some trailers tick all the boxes and preview upcoming films that turn out to be fantastic, some tick most of the boxes and preview films that turn out to be rubbish and some trailers are absolutely rubbish yet the film turns out to be great. Clearly, making a good trailer is an art form.

More coming soon…
